Parents: It’s that time of year! Our annual cookie dough fundraiser begins today, and we are excited about the opportunities to fund some much needed materials for Spring Hill Middle School. Given our county’s current budget situation, we believe we have a couple of options here at SHMS: 1) WISH we had more money or (2) WORK to raise the funds necessary to enhance and enrich our students’ education. We have chosen the latter. Will you consider helping us? This profit will directly affect your student in two ways. First, half of the profit will be used for school-wide maintenance and adding to the existing technology we have in our classrooms. Second, and perhaps even more exciting, each team of teachers will divide the remaining 50 percent of profits proportionally, based on their relative contribution to the sale. In other words, half of all profits will benefit students at the classroom level! Our school goal is an admittedly ambitious $25,000. Based on our school population, however, we can attain this level if we average only FIVE sales per student. Bottom line—if we meet our goal, SHMS will WORK to create $25,000 which will directly impact our students. We thought this plan was much better than WISHING we had the money to provide our students the best education possible.
