Principals Note:

Parents,

Students have worked very hard all year and are excited about taking the TCAP test this year. The test will be administered during the week of April the 23rd. Monday will be Languauge Arts and Reading, Tuesday will be Math, Wednesday Science and Thursday will be Social Studies. Please encourage your children to eat breakfast every morning before they come to school, this is so important for them to have energy to take this test. Also, make sure they are well rested the nights before the test. We need to do all we can to help and encourage our students since this test is so important for the students, teachers and our school. TCAP test this year will count as 15% of their final 2nd semester grade. This has been mandated by the state that all LEA's set this percent;  Maury County chose to go with 15%.

Last year we were awarded as an AWARD school. This is when a school scores in the top 5% in performance or improvement on the TCAP test. This was an awesome honor for our students, faculty, community and parents. I believe we can do even better this year. There is one more thing; we need your help in. If you can proctor during that week of the TCAP, please call the office and asked for Callie Blont or Teneke Claybourne. They can schedule you to help. We have to have a proctor for every test setting. There will be over 50 test settings, so please help if you can.

Again, thanks for all you do,

Mr. Wright

Principal
